The Holy Roller Revue is a monthly country, roots,  and folk music night at Vancouver’s Fox Cabaret. The inspiration behind the event was drawn from what history dictates as the beginning of rock n roll – the Pentecostal church, where “holy rollers” were so captivated and fueled by the music that they were moved to speak in tongue and loose control of their bodies. I looked to old snake oil bottle labels from the 1930’s for inspiration and wanted to create a gritty, circus like feel for this unique event.
